This module examines the legal frameworks and regulations surrounding artificial intelligence (AI), emphasizing ethical and responsible AI development and deployment. Justine Gauthier

Justine Gauthier is the General Counsel and Head of AI Governance at Mila. Ms Gauthier and her teams are responsible for overseeing the legal, regulatory, and ethical aspects of developing cutting-edge machine learning technologies. 

As an expert in AI governance, Ms Gauthier frequently intervenes in national and international forums and contributes to initiatives such as the AI Governance Alliance of the World Economic Forum and the AI expert group of the Barreau du Québec. 

Ms. Gauthier also sits on the boards of the Canadian Technology Law Association and the venture capital firm Front Row Ventures.
